Abstract
Time-frequency signal processing techniques are applied to the multi-channel electroencephalogram (EEG) to extract features of the desired signal from background brain waves. The signal is then synthesized with an iterative procedure and utilized to localize dipolar current sources in the brain based on models of the head shape and conductivity. This time-frequency pre-processing technique produced improved performance over the traditional method
