Abstract :
The impression of video is dependent on its expression. This has not been addressed very much in the context of research on videoconferencing. An experiment was conducted to find the video expression that suits a certain type of meeting. The videos that were made up of a combination of three visual elements of two choices each were shown to 207 college students and were evaluated by questionnaires. Analyses were made in three steps to examine the characteristics of each video, the relation between the elements and the evaluation of questions, and the contents of the questions. From the evaluation, principles for using appropriate video in certain types of meeting were suggested.
