Abstract :
This paper presents a method of simultaneous measurements of voltage/current for method of mobile phase-comparison in fault location of distribution network, using 1PPS and UTC in COMPASS. The COMPASS timing module selected is introduced briefly. A hardware and software platform based on ARM is designed for the testing and verification of 1PPS interface accuracy. The serial communication between COMPASS timing module and ARM9 is realized by a program coded with C# on the .NET Framework 3.5 platform, which can receive and abstract the information of UTC etc. Details of related experiments are given and the experimental results demonstrate that the method proposed in this paper is feasible.
