Abstract :
To the problem existing freezing test equipment unable to satisfy the demand of experimental research study on test technique of ice accretion. This paper firstly introduces two kinds of conventional icing scaling method: Olsen method and AEDC method ( Ruff ); Then using the mixed scale test model do icing test, mainly uses the simple cylindrical models do a simplified testing, thus validating the feasibility of AEDC (mixed shrinkage ratio test model ) method; Finally, in accordance with the designed airfoil mixed models for numerical simulation, thus further proved the feasibility that the hybrid scaled models instead of the original size model. The test established a scaled theory basis for numerical simulation on hybrid complex models, thereby validated the feasibility of the icing research method.
