Abstract :
The authors discuss the synthesis and design of filters using biquads which simulate doubly loaded maximum gain second-order LC ladders. It is shown that, for approximations with low-Q poles, biquads based on doubly loaded LC filters perform better than the classical ones. Using practically the same number of components they present considerably lower passive sensitivity while allowing active compensation for the op-amp gain bandwidth
