Abstract :
A specific type of compact overhead distribution construction is presented, utilizing insulated conductors supported on a high-strength messenger by insulated spacers. The benefit of using this type of construction to reduce tree related customer interruptions is noted. Also identified are the specific material requirements of a successful installation that will provide many years of reliable service.
