Abstract

As a Fortune 500 company, Corning Incorporated has created new products for an ever-changing marketplace and ever-improving people´s quality of life for more than 150 years. Innovation has been the key for Coming´s success, which made possible such essential items as light bulbs, televisions using traditional CRT tube and today´s LCD display, pollution control systems for automotives and coal-fired power plants, broad-band telecommunication, and many others. In the new century, Corning is accelerating its innovation speed and expanding its global innovation network. In 2006, Corning created its first research organization, Corning Research China, in China as a part of its global innovation network.
