Abstract :
H near-optimal state-feedback problem/solution is formulated for a singularly perturbed system with only slow input components. The assumption of slow inputs in the singularly perturbed system results in separated fast and slow cost functionals that contain strictly orthogonal terms. State-space methods with orthogonality restrictions are then applied to solve the H control problem. H2 results are also presented
