Abstract :
Blade electric vehicles (BEVs) use batteries, by which the performance and security of the BEVs is determined, as its only source of energy. However, there are so many cells, connected in series-parallel combination to match the load requirement, needed to be monitored and controlled that making it a great challenge to manage all the cells timely and efficiently. Thus, a modularized and distributed battery management system (BMS), which can timely sample the parameters of all the cells, is proposed in this paper. In this proposed BMS, each module could work independently sampling data of each cell in its sub-module, and communicate with the main control MCU. The BUS, between each independent sub-module and the MOS controller, can sharply shorten the time that responding to any accident and improve the reliability of the BMS. Finally, test on the BEV battery shows that this proposed system is efficient and reliable.
