Abstract :
We consider performance evaluation of turbo-coded uplink MIMO systems on uncorrelated and correlated slow frequency non-selective Rayleigh fading channels. The considered coded MIMO systems employ a recently proposed linearly complex MIMO signal detector N. Mysore et al., (2004) and operate within 1.8 dB of the ergodic MIMO capacity limits. We extend the union bound method to evaluate the bit error rate performance of the coded systems under consideration. Simulation results indicate that the union bound based numerical results are within about 0.5 dB for receivers with iterative processing.
