Abstract :
The study of navigation through information space has been a topic of considerable interest among researchers over the past decades. This paper discusses the importance of navigating through the Internet, and the fundamental issues of human computer interaction in the arena of people searching the information on the WWW. An empirical study was conducted on the usability of user interfaces on the WWW and examined users with different styles of learning based upon the comparison of different techniques on user performance, confidence, and satisfaction. Implications of the study in navigation through Web-based systems are discussed as well.
