Abstract
This paper focuses on giving an overview of evaluation theory and practice. After having reviewed the development of evaluation methods and the situation and real use of evaluation in China, this paper introduces two latest evaluation methodologies, total system intervention (TSI) and Wuli-Shili-Renli (WSR), in detail. Fundamental ideas and main contents of the two methodologies are discussed in this paper, and an example is also given to elaborate them further
