  • Abstract
    The ultra high voltage (UHV) alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) transmission historical developments in the past twenty years in China were simply reviewed. The demand of UHV transmission in China was simply discussed. The design parameters and construction of UHV AC, DC test bases, including test facilities, the tests that can be carried out etc, were also introduced in this paper.
