Abstract
In this paper, we present a novel Reconfigurable Frequency-Selective Surface (RFSS) design intended to improve the performance of filtering property. Here, a reconfigurable hybrid element FSS is examined in the presence of the high frequency switch PIN diode. The scrupulous concentration is the design of FSS structures whose transmission coefficient has set a dual-band of the desired frequencies. The RFSS hybrid element is composed of ten rings and a single dipole combined to create two bands. PIN-diode is also included in the structure to constitute a reconfigurable response of the electromagnetic window in two frequency bands of 2.3 GHz and 3.7 GHz. These dual bands are available for IEEE 802.16 WiMAX Applications. Results of hybrid element which are simulated by CST microwave studio software have produced a reconfigurable transmission and reflection coefficient.
