Abstract :
In a Grid Connected Photo Voltaic System (GCPVS), using suitable maximum power point tracking algorithms, converter topologies and control algorithms, maximum power is to be drawn from the PV array and has to be supplied to the Grid. There are various topologies available for the same like single stage and two stage topologies. Loss factors such as irradiance, temperature, shading effects etc. have zero loss in a two stage system [2]. Here in this paper, hardware model of two stage GCPVs using isolated Cuk converter is being presented. Current control at the output of the converter is done using the controller IC3842 and the grid synchronized center tapped inverter is controlled using the IC SG3525.
