Abstract :
Clustering methods allow fast connection and also better routing and topology management of mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). In MANET, the movement of the network nodes may quickly change the topology resulting in the increase of the overhead message in topology maintenance. A variety of approaches for MANET clustering has been developed by researchers which focus on different performance metrics. This paper presents a review of various clustering schemes for MANET. The paper draws analysis of different clustering schemes and provides suggestions for improvement.
