Abstract :
Solar radiant exposure is a vital parameter of solar radiation, which is used to estimate the photovoltaic power station output. The network of stations measuring the solar radiation data is sparse in many developing countries. In this paper nine years historical data for the year 2001-2009 from National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) Solar Radiation Research Laboratory (SRRL) are employed to produce and validate the radiant exposure models. Utilizing the regression analysis, the solar radiant exposure models on meteorological parameters such as sunshine duration, temperature and relative humidity are established. Validation proves that the models can calculate the solar radiant exposure efficiently.
