  • Abstract
The analysis and design of Minimum Energy Point Tracking (MEPT) are becoming a hot researching topic to minimize the energy consumption of portable systems recently. However, how to detect and track the energy is the key point of MEPT. This paper proposes a novel MEPT method based on Pulse Skip Modulation (PSM) mode. The structure of the proposed MEPT circuit is given out, which is simple and can be utilized in normal changing speed systems. Based on the energy model of digital load in subthreshold and PSM control mode, the principle of the proposed MEPT circuit is introduced. Simulation results and the layout of the MEPT circuit are both given out in this paper.
