Abstract
A heat-resistant robot developed to repair cracks or joints in the central portion of the chamber wall of in-operation coke ovens is discussed. The robot is placed on the coke ovens, and its arm is inserted into the hot chamber through a charging hole. The repair capabilities and usefulness of this system have been confirmed in repair tests in in-operation ovens.<>
