Abstract :
Investigating in polar region needs the outdoor cable to have good performance of cold resistant. In order to meet the power supply requirements of Antarctic expedition team, a flexible low-temperature resistant outdoor cable was developed. While developing, dielectric analysis was used to choose lower glass-transition temperature material. That ensures the insulation can work in high elasticity stage which improve the cold resistant performance of the material. During the process of manufacture, we improve control precision of conduct diameter and diameter over the cable. Then ldquoStatistics Process Controlrdquo was used to improve the quality of products. Our products have been used for Chinese Antarctic expedition team. In the Antarctic Pole, our products resist the cold weather, did not have any quality problems, and get consumer´s favorable comment.
