Abstract
A novel 3-(1H-4-methyl-benzotriazol-1-yl)-4-methyl-benzo[7,8]coumarin(MBMBC) containing an electron-transporting moiety (benzotriazole) was characterized single crystal X-ray crystallography and UV-vis absorption spectra. The compound exhibits strong blue emission and may prove to be important class of OLED material.
