Abstract :
A compact antenna that can be integrated in ultra-wideband (UWB) communication devices is presented. A novel L slot antenna with a W-shaped stub feed has been designed to operate in the 5-10 GHz band. Then its integration in a device consisting of two vertical conducting metal walls is considered. Design procedure based on Smith chart has been used for retuning the antenna in the presence of walls.
