Abstract :
Many different reasoning methods are described in the literature. Generally, modus ponens reasoning with triangular norms is used for MIMO systems. The author discusses the necessary conditions and usefulness of some operations that it is possible to use for approximate reasoning. The main attention is applied to the properties of ℬ-operations, introduced earlier by the author (Proc. 5th Conf . Neural Networks and Soft Computing, Zakopane, Poland, 2000, pp. 290-295), mean operations and some others. Illustrative examples of a system with a fuzzy controller of PD or PID type and with three different plants are presented. A comparison of different reasoning and defuzzification methods is accomplished
