Abstract :
This study aims to develop bioelectromanetic wound dressings to accelerate the healing of chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers. For this purpose the authors will carry out three different methods: nanolayered structures with metallic oxide elements, coated nanofiber bandages with metallic oxide elements and finally, bandages produced with knit structures integrating metallic yarns. The key concept of this project entails around the formation of the Foucault currents derived from the electromagnetic radiation incident on the metallic elements of the bandages. These Eddy currents are the rationale for heating up the bandages, which are in deep contact with the skin, promoting the blood flow into the wound area (capillary perfusion), and consequently, the in taking of oxygen, nutrients, etc. accelerating the healing of the wound.
