Abstract :
We investigate the physical relationship between radiative fluxes and surface temperature under cloud cover by examining ground measurements and results from a thermodynamic model. We incorporate solar radiative fluxes and varying cloud properties in both the empirical and theoretical analyses. An approach to estimating the cloudy sky surface temperature is presented
