Abstract
Real-time outage information at Westar can be classified in two ways: (1) real-time data during customer outages (before outage restoration) and (2) real-time data after customers have been restored (outage closed). During the customer interruptions, all individual device outages are provided both geographically and in tabular form for internal use by dispatch, field operations personnel and company management. This application also predicts customers before they attain the CEMI target level by using statistics gained through outage analysis.
