Train the trainers Hands-On Workshop

In the process of the human resources formation it is very important to acquire practical skills. This feature becomes critical when the subject has to teach other people at his turn. Among ¿Train the trainers days¿ event held in the frame of Elect2EAT projects were two hands-on workshops, design and assembling. The attendees were mainly teaching stuff, trainers involved in high-school and vocational school education, but also in academia, covering all regions of Romania. The organizer, UPB-CETTI, had provided the laptops including the CAD-CAM software and a complete surface mount technology, SMT, production line. The Design workshop was focused on the main activities regarding the long way from the circuit design to the final pack of data files necessary for the production of an electronic module, as well as on the rules for design for manufacturing. During assembling workshop the participants could practice using SMT, equipments the notions acquired during oral presentations. It was explained and trained the production of the module by manual assembling using real materials, boards and components, but also real equipments for solder paste depositing by printing or dispensing, components placement, reflow soldering, optical inspection of the paste deposits and solder joints.
