Abstract :
The Gaussian input distribution can contribute in non- coherent Rayleigh fading channel. By expressing the mutual information in closed form using Gauss-Hermit Quadrature with a simple lower bound on it and subsequently identifying the maximum deviation of the actual capacity achieved with a discrete input in the presence of Gaussian input.
