Abstract
It is demonstrated that chaotic behavior can occur in practical microwave nonlinear circuits, and methods of analysis that can predict such behavior are presented. Theoretical and practical results are presented for IMPATT and Gunn diode oscillators. The method of analysis presented helps the designer to understand the behavior and to design chaos-free oscillators
