Abstract
In this article, we propose a three dimensional hedonic model for intrinsic motivation that has the potential to enhance users acceptance to online social tagging tools and social media in general. Our multi-layered model includes curiosity, explorability, and enjoyment as potential predictors for users´ attitude and intention to use online social tagging tools. This conceptual model is based on a modified version of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as well as on an extensive review of motivation theory literature. The model forms the foundation for future empirical work in this area.
