Abstract
A detailed study of the dependence of the energy taken out of slabs by knock-on electrons on the energy of incident electrons and their angle of incidence, slabs material and thickness has been made. This study is made basing on a detailed data set obtained by using Monte Carlo computations. Semi empirical models that describe the energy taken out and the charge-deposition are developed. The considered slabs are made of material with atomic number from 4 to 79 and thickness from 0.5 to 50 mg/cm2. These slabs are irradiated by monoenergetic electron beam with energy from 1 to 10 MeV and different angle of incidence. The behaviors of the charge deposition and the taken out energy are discussed
