Abstract
The filtering method introduced by Savitzky and Golay has long been used in the absorption spectroscopy community for its ability to simultaneously smooth and differentiate absorption spectra. In this investigation, the Savitzky-Golay method is shown applicable to hyperspectral reflectance spectra for the application of detecting absorption band positions
