  • Abstract
A possibility of soil erosion estimation is considered. It is shown that the use of multifrequency and dual-polarization radar methods permits to estimate the rms values of roughness and spatial correlation radius of soil. It is demonstrated that a fractal approximation of surface spatial spectra enables one to obtain the most accurate estimations of soil surface parameters. Experimental results at wavelengths of 3.0 and 0.8 cm are presented as well showing the possibility of dual polarization data processing for soil erosion degree determination
