Describes a novel vibrator to stimulate human lumbar spinal processes for the diagnosis of low-back diseases. The vibrator is an electrically powered portable medical device. The frequency and the amplitude of the vibrator are adjustable to improve diagnostic performance of the system. Preliminary clinical tests are reported
