Abstract :
Pattern measurements, e.g., for the gain, azimuth/elevation radiation pattern, and group delay, of ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas often require the use of a broadband reference antenna, typically a horn antenna. This presentation discusses the effects of these relatively large antennas on the gain measurements when the separation between the antenna under test (AUT) and the horn antenna is just a few multiples of its largest dimension.
