Abstract
The problem of the polarization contrast of radar objects was investigated for the case of “one-point” non-moving radar objects (Kanarejkin et al. 1966). However, movement of the object, placed against its background, allows us to introduce a new notion of dynamic polarization contrast. The dynamic polarization contrast is based on the dependence of the polarization parameters of the scattered field in relation to the parameters of the object movement (in particular, the radial component of the velocity of an object). We consider in this paper the problem of polarization-Doppler contrast (PDC) of moving small objects as a special case of dynamics
