Abstract :
In this paper, the analytical permittivity models for LH metamaterial are derived using the constitutive relation method and transmission line method, respectively, and the equivalence between these models is investigated. In addition, the validity of these models is proven by numerical simulations. The description of mathematical derivation exhibits clear physical concepts and provides new approaches for better understanding of the negative permittivity effect.
