Abstract
Mathematical models for calculating the response of such a transmission exposed to external electromagnetic fields are described. Numerical calculations show that unshielded three-wire transmission lines can provide at least 40-dB isolation between the external electromagnetic field and terminal load voltage at the end of the line. The three-wire transmission line can be used to transmit digital and analog data between subsystems/equipment in a weapon system. It is a potential candidate to reduce cost in the design of interconnecting cables in weapon systems
