Abstract
A hybrid analytical-numerical methodology has been used for an accurate analysis of finite arrays of antennas which can be described by a generalized scattering matrix. Analytical expressions, that allow us to obtain the reflection, mutual coupling and radiation response of the array, have been found by using properties of rotation and translation of spherical waves. These expressions have been validated and applied to the study of a finite array of cavity-backed patch antennas on an infinite ground plane.
