Abstract
Low frequency SAR has shown great potential for forestry inventory, in particular biomass retrieval. This paper describes a model that has been used to investigate the sensitivity of the scattering to different forest properties. The results show that the scattering mechanisms are different for different tree species. It is also demonstrated that by including the imaging system in the model, the origins of texture in images can be investigated
