Abstract
It is shown how supercomputer technology can be effectively used for EMI (electromagnetic interference) and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) problems. It is pointed out that in order to solve the challenging EMC problems of the future, the parallelism and large main memory in supercomputers must be used. The parallelism should be organized so that the user is able to formulate problems in an artificial-intelligence approach. The manufacturer can enhance a model without being forced to remain on a hardware level compatible with the preceding model. It is noted that the real problem is not the MFLOPS or GFLOPS rate, but performing data transfer operations on such a large memory. It is concluded that since software development in this technology will be complex, an interdisciplinary approach is required
