Abstract
In this paper generalization of Kurokawa stability criterion is developed. The proposed approach considers both the static and dynamic nonlinear elements of the device model, while the original Kurokawa\´ s criterion takes into account only the static "resistive" elements of the form of v ≡ RNL (i) or i ≡ GNL (v). This assumption imposes some serious restrictions on the microwave oscillator model. The new proposed criterion is derived analytically and has been applied to a diode oscillator. It is also compared with the original Kurokawa criterion.
