Abstract :
In this paper we propose zero partial-period correlation zone (ZPCZ) sequences which may be considered as a generalized version of conventional zero-correlation zone (ZCZ) sequences. We present their basic properties and apply them to channel estimation. When they are employed as training sequences for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel estimation, the mean-square error (MSE) of the minimum mean-square error (MMSE) estimator can be minimized.
