Abstract
A comparison between two SAR SpotLight mode images is presented. Images are obtained from standard and signum coded (one-bit) raw-data. In the latter case also a one-bit filter function is used. Visual and statistical comparisons are shown. Furthermore real-time processing in time-domain can be obtained with a dedicated architecture. This, coupled with the high resolution achievable in SpotLight images, is a very attractive feature in the development of future SAR systems
