Abstract :
The intelligent control sets have been successfully launched into the industry process control. In this work, the communication network of an intelligent instrument is established by using Profibus-DP (Process Field Bus DP), and we focus on the design of the Profibus-DP network interface adapter card. Under the circumstances that even the automation equipments lack the Profibus-DP fieldbus interfaces, they can also realize the communication with the upper monitors through this interface adapter card. Moreover, the instruction of this designed card is based upon some microprocessors and communication interface chips. In sequence, the experiments have been preformed and the results demonstrate that the normal communication between master and slave station is achieved as expected, accomplishing the communication requirements under the direction of the related protocols.
