  • Abstract
    We realized the excellent gain-flatness of EDFA for wide temperature, wide optical input signal ranges, and changing number of channels using our simply pumping control method. We reported gain constant output signal power in each channel could be obtained by automatic constant pumping power control (APC) for changing conditions (i.e. span loss, number of channels and ambient temperature). In the APC method the configuration is more simple and pumping power is lower compared with AGC method
