Abstract :
This paper describes the simple modeling approach for the design of mixer based on measured DC characteristics. Modified theoretical equations have been used for accurately predicting the diode behavior. Accurate determination of the diode parameters translates into close agreement between measured and simulated values. This approach is validated by designing and realization of a compact, planar mixer at Ku-band employing broadband hybrid coupler. Theoretical modeling validated by measured and simulated results are discussed in this paper.
