Abstract
A novel structure of low-index diamond-like microprism on a single-mode Y-junction is proposed. To obtain the very low-loss characteristics, not only the phase-front mismatch can be compensated, but also the field mismatch can be improved by the effect of power pre-splitting. Device performance is evaluated numerically by the beam propagation method. The normalized transmitted power under the condition of different prism parameters will be discussed in this paper
