  • Abstract
The main problem that limits wide application of arc plasma sources in technologies is a dropletpsilas fraction problem. Therefore significant efforts of the researchers are directed on reduction of this fraction. It would be interesting to investigate a problem of droplet evaporation in plasma for its consent with known physical processes. The deeper understanding of all the complex and self-consistent processes will allow effectively operating them. On the basis of theoretical models the processes of interaction of a metal spherical droplet with plasma are analysed. The basic processes examined in the report: acceleration of a droplet in a plasma flow, exchange between a droplet and plasma charged particles and energy, evaporation electrons and atoms from droplet. The action of cloud substance on evaporation rate of droplet is estimated too.
