Abstract :
A technique for the extrapolation of open-site radiated-emission test data to distances greater than the distance used during test is presented. Extrapolation factors are derived which are functions of frequency and polarization, but independent of the type of the source. With these factors, field strengths which could occur at the test distance required by a standard can be conveniently calculated from data taken at reduced distance. Worst-case uncertainties in the extrapolated results are found to be less than 3 dB for almost all practical situations
